About the Band Boosters

The Alexandria City High School Band Boosters, Inc. has been created to support the ACHS Band Program by promoting the involvement of parents and guardians in band-oriented activities and exists as an association of its members. Members may participate in all boosters activities and serve as officers, chairpersons and committee members. If your son or daughter is in any of the Alexandria City High School Bands, you’re automatically a member of the Band Boosters!

The Alexandria City High School Band Boosters provide financial, physical, logistical, and moral support to the ACHS band program. Booster funds supplement the ACPS budget for music, instruments, transportation to competitions, and clinic and sectional instructors. Funds also support private lesson scholarships for students, the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria, competition entry fees, uniform maintenance, senior recognition and other activities.

As a member of the ACHS Band Boosters, we encourage you to get involved with the band program and Boosters activities. Volunteers are always needed throughout the school year for events such as away and local performances, competitions, tag day, car washes, field trips, etc. We need the continued support of parents to keep getting excellent results. Together we are stronger!
